Abstract
L'invention concerne un dispositif de formation de faisceau à partir d'un groupe d'échantillons de signaux provenant d'un réseau d'éléments tels que des transducteurs. Des séries d'échantillons provenant de chaque transducteur sont retardées de retards qui sont des fractions de l'intervalle entre les échantillons. Les séries d'échantillons avec les retards sont appliqués à un filtre commun de formation de faisceau dont la largeur de bande est suffisante pour laisser passer ces signaux. La réponse en impulsions du filtre est supérieure à l'intervalle entre échantillons de manière à former un faisceau égal à la somme des signaux régénérés. Le diagramme de rayonnement du faisceau est indépendant de la fréquence d'échantillonnage. L'invention s'applique notamment à un appareil sonar remorqué par un navire.
