Abstract

Suivant l'invention, on prépare un uréthanne aromatique de haute qualité et très stable à la chaleur avec un rendement élevé par interaction d'un composé nitro aromatique, d'un composé organique contenant un groupe hydroxyle et d'oxyde de carbone en présence d'un système catalytique se composant de palladium, ruthénium, rhodium ou d'un composé de ces derniers, d'un acide de Lewis, et d'ammoniac. L'utilisation d'un tel système catalytique supprime les réactions secondaires indésirables dans une mesure convenable et assure que la réaction se déroule sans provoquer de corrosion du réacteur en acier inoxydable. Si nécessaire, on peut ajouter de l'eau au système réactionnel pour accélérer la vitesse de réaction de manière à pouvoir réduire le prix unitaire du catalyseur.
