Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un écrou auto-freiné à partir d'une ébauche 1, percée et taraudée 2, comportant à l'une des extrémités axiales de l'écrou une collerette 3, selon lequel on déforme ladite collerette radialement et/ou axialement. Selon l'invention, on réalise l'ébauche susdite avec une surépaisseur à l'une de ses extrémités axiales de surface extérieure latérale 4 non cylindrique, l'on perce et taraude ladite ébauche selon son axe central, le perçage fileté déterminant ainsi avec ladite surépaisseur une collerette d'épaisseur e1, e2 non constante et l'on déforme par roulage ladite collerette de manière à ramener sa surface extérieure, de révolution autour de l'axe central susdit L'invention trouve une application intéressante dans le domaine de la visserie, boulonnerie.
