[Also in Division F2] A lock-nut is made by forming a counterbore in one end of a standard nut, locating an annular nylon insert 10 within the recess, and shearing and deforming fingers 15 from the wall of the counterbore, by means of a staking punch (12) Fig. 4 not shown, to secure the insert in position.
