Abstract

The system regulates the rate of flow of material from a bottom discharging hooper on a semi trailer. The hooper bottom has a longitudinal conveyor (6) sloping down towards the front. there is a longitudinal beam along the hooper and above the conveyor. The beam is on a transverse horizontal pivot and the front end can have its height adjusted. This is done by a crank, the other end of which is pivoted to the hooper by a second pivot, parallel to the first. this second pivot is at the height of the hooper side panel top.
