Abstract

The flexible connection is for use between gas bottles or between them and a reservoir, handling gas up to very high pressures. It comprises a flexible hose (53), to the outside of whch a safety rope (58) is secured, typically by collars. The rope ends can have eyes for hooking onto fittings on the bottles etc. to be connected. Each hose end can have unions crimped onto it. There can be loops formed at the rope ends and also at intermediate points along it. The rope itself can be of twisted stainless steel.
