Abstract

The shelving system uses horizontal longitudinal rectangular section tubing (3) to which are attached adaptors (4) and into which fit horizontal rods (2) to carry the shelf. The adaptor has a vertical stem (7) with a hole (8) down the middle to receive the rod, with a hooked part (6) at the top which fits over the rectangular tube. The rod which extends horizontally, has its end (2e) bent over at right angles to fit into the hole (8) in the adaptor. The horizontal part nearest the vertical part of the rod (2) locates inside a horizontal groove (9) across the top of the adaptor.
