Abstract

1401674 Bath shorteners G H WARNER 1 May 1973 [12 Aug 1972] 37680/72 Heading A4N A device for shortening the length of a bath comprises a front panel A having a shape approximately the same as the cross-section of the bath, a plurality of pivoted members D-D<SP>5</SP> connected to the panel and arranged to be extended to locate the panel A at a selected distance from one end of the bath, and a pair of notched members H, H<SP>1</SP> provided to engage a rod G connecting the members to prevent inadvertent collapse of the device when the members are so extended. The members are arranged as a pair of lazy tongs mounted on angle pieces C-C<SP>3</SP>. A frame B adjustable on the pieces C<SP>2</SP> and C<SP>3</SP> engages the end of the bath and has a strip extending beneath the taps to prevent tilting.
