Abstract
The bursting disc safety device limits pressure of a fluid. The bursting disc is penetrated by a pointed pin, and the unit has high response accuracy and is independent of temperature effects. Pressurised fluid holding vessel (10) and fluid outlet channel (11) are connected by pipeline (12). This pipeline has full stroke safety valve (13) which opens fully a channel (14) for actuation of the bursting disc piercing pin (15). This pin is actuated by pressure exerted on its piston (16). The pin is held normally in retracted position by a spring (17).
