Abstract

The automatic fire fighting installation has one or several self-contained appliances with a gas cylinder n2), valve (4) and gas jet (7). The installation is fitted with a system of sensors (9) distributed in the space and wired in series. When fire breaks out, line Lo is connected with line Ll and the signal from the sensor operates the valve fitted to the first appliance. The flow of gas from the first appliance causes pressure drop in the gas cylinder which activates a control system triggering off gas release from neighbouring appliances in succession.
