Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'images ultrasoniques formées par réflexion d'impulsions à profondeur variable. Un transducteur ultrasonique 10 comprenant une section centrale 18, qui ne coopère qu'avec une petite partie de l'ouverture relativement grande d'une lentille acoustique 202, et une section annulaire 20, qui coopère avec le reste de l'ouverture peut être sélectivement actionné par un moyen de commutation 12 afin d'utiliser le signal détecté à profondeur de champ de mise au point relativement importante correspondant à la seule section centrale ou d'utiliser le signal détecté à profondeur de mise au point relativement petite correspondant à la réunion de la section centrale et de la section annulaire. L'invention s'applique notamment aux appareils de diagnostic médical.
