Abstract
An aircraft, used for crop spraying, or for spraying fire retardant liquid over forces threatened by fire, has a main tank (7) slung underneath the fuselage (1). The main tank (7) is connected by pipes fitted with valves to the unused fuel tanks installed in the wings. These unused fuel tanks are filled with the crop spraying or fire fighting liquid. When the liquid has been discharged from the main tank, the tank can be refilled by opening the valves thus increasing the amount of liquid that can be sprayed in one flight.
