Abstract

The switch has a trip, a latching mechanism with contacts, rectifier bridge circuit connected to the transformer secondary via an attenuation element, and a delay capacitor in parallel with the trip. The rectifier circuit has a charge capacitor connected to its output terminals. A constant current control circuit consists of a Zener diode (5) and a transistor (6). The transistor base-emitter path contains a variable resistor (11) between the Zener diode and the emitter. The delay capacitor (7) is connected to the transistor collector and its other end is coupled both to the charge capacitor (10), thus forming a parallel connection to the charge capacitor. The Zener diode and the capacitor (10) are in parallel. A further resistor (12) at the transistor base forms a common connecting point.
