Abstract

CONSTITUTION:When a power source has a higher potential than those applied to control terminals 14 and 16, a current from a main terminal 12 turns on a PNP TR11 and also turns on a PNP TR13. Further, the collector current of the PNP TR11 flows into the base of an NPN TR17 and the collector current of the PNP TR13 becomes the collector current of the NPN TR17 to turn on the NPN TR17, providing conduction between the main terminal 12 and a main terminal 18. When a current applied to the control terminal 14 is ceased, no emitter current flows through the PNP TRs11 and 13, so the NPN TR17 is not held turned on, thereby intercepting the current between the main terminals 12 and 18.
