Abstract

Appareil pour l'essai non destructif d'objets ferromagnétiques allongés tels que des câbles en fils métalliques. Des bobinages 1 sur des barres 2 induisent un flux magnétique dans un objet 5 en essai, par des pièces polaires 6. Des capteurs magnétiques 7 permettent de mesurer le flux réellement induit et d'en déduire des variations dans la surface de la section de l'objet en essai. Application à la recherche de pailles ou de lacunes dans des objets ferromagnétiques allongés, notamment dans des câbles.
