Abstract

On prépare des esters méthacryliques par transestérification du méthacrylate de méthyle à l'aide d'alcools en présence d'un catalyseur de transestérification et d'un inhibiteur de polymérisation. On utilise comme catalyseur de transestérification, en proportions de 0,01 à 2 % du poids total des réactifs, l'hydroxyde de lithium. L'hydroxyde de lithium est facile à séparer après les opérations et donne l'ester recherché avec de bons rendements et de bonnes sélectivités.Methacrylic esters are prepared by transesterification of methyl methacrylate using alcohols in the presence of a transesterification catalyst and a polymerization inhibitor. Lithium hydroxide is used as a transesterification catalyst, in proportions of 0.01 to 2% of the total weight of the reactants. Lithium hydroxide is easy to separate after operations and gives the desired ester with good yields and good selectivities.
