Abstract

A vehicle bumper made from a U shaped profile (2) and bent to match the bodywork to be protected. It is closed at the outside and the edges are in contact with the vehicle structure (2). The profile webs buckle with a frontal shock. There are fixings to attach the profile to the car structure. These are U shaped (3) and fitted inside the profile, fixed to it, and to the structure. The edges of the structure are rounded off and housed in openings made in the structure of the vehicle. The bumper is for use with vehicles having no chassis members.
