Abstract

The sides of the lorry(1) are protected by an elastic cover(4). This cover may be secured between the front and rear axles(2) and to the sides of the vehicle. The cover protects pedestrians and cyclists from injury as well as preventing road spray. The cover can be made from a variety of materials and is fitted with snap fasteners to the wheel arches and side walls. The cover can also be rigid, with a hinged support(8) for access to the chassis.
