Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de désinfection et un appareillage pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé. Elle concerne, plus particulièrement, un procédé de désinfection à l'oxyde d'éthylène consistant à mélanger l'oxyde d'éthylène avec un inhibiteur de combustion suffisamment efficace, en petite quantité, pour que la pression totale du mélange actif puisse être maintenue sensiblement voisine de la pression atmosphérique. Un tel procédé présente l'avantage d'éviter, simultanément, les risques d'inflammation et de nocivité biologique.
