Abstract

The valve is fitted to a spray dispenser using a pressurised gas as the propellant. It comprises a large diameter body (1), reduced for the feed tube. A valve spring (3) locates over a shoulder (2), the spring holding a tear drop shaped valve (4) provided with seating lugs (5). The spring compresses the valve against a seal (6), the latter forming part of the guide body (7) for the press button (9). The design provides straight through passages without obstructions for rapid filling with propellant gas. A channel (10, 11) in the press button permits discharge of the contents.
