Abstract

In the case of the method, at least one roller pair, consisting of rollers (1, 2; 6, 5) assembled from truncated cones, is used for shaping a dry pressboard strip (4, 8) which is flat on the inlet side. At the same time, the straight pressboard strip (4, 8) is bent by the roller pair on the inlet side about a line parallel to its longitudinal direction, and, in the course of passing through, the pressboard strip (4, 8) is stretched on the side lying on the external diameter on the completed angle ring, by stamping a knurled pattern (3, 7) on one side, the extent of the stretching and hence the bending radius of the processed pressboard strip (4, 8) being adjustable via the penetration depth of the knurled pattern (3, 7).
