Abstract

L'invention a trait à la récupération d'un ion de métal lourd dans une solution aqueuse diluée contenant 0,04 à 100 p.p.m. de cet ion. Le procédé comporte des étapes consistant à faire couler la solution au contact d'une résine échangeuse d'ions; à faire couler l'effluent de la solution pour le séparer de la résine; à faire couler ensuite une solution concentrée d'halogénure de métal alcalin au contact de la résine pour séparer l'ion de métal lourd de cette résine; et à isoler l'ion de métal lourd de la solution d'halogénure, sous la forme solide. Application à la récupération de l'argent dans des solutions usées de laboratoires photographiques.
