Abstract

The system reduces icing-up of heat exchangers through which relatively hot and relatively cold media flow, such as fresh and stale air. The fresh air is passed through a preheater, which can be preheated typically on the impulse from a pressurestat on the stale air side of the heat exchanger. The fresh air (2) is divided by the preheater (4) into a number of partial currents, selectively heated by the heat exchanger without reduction of the tool fresh air flow through the latter. Each preheating section is fitted with an electric heating coil, so dimensioned that selective heat distributor can be obtained.
