Abstract

La présente invention concerne la préparation d'hydrosols oxyde de titane-silice-alumine par réaction de sels de titane et d'aluminium avec une solution de silicate de métal alcalin, à un pH d'environ 3. Les compositions d'hydrosol peuvent être séchées pour former des gels minéraux d'oxyde de titane, d'alumine et de silice; on peut aussi utiliser les hydrosols comme liants minéraux pour préparer des-compositions de catalyseur qui peuvent contenir de l'argile et des zéolites. Les gels et les liants possèdent une plus grande résistance à l'usure par frottement que des gels et des liants préparés à partir d'un hydrosol de silice et d'oxyde de titane qui ne contient pas d'alumine.
