Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil pour doucir et polir des lentilles qui supportent un outil et une lentille en contact mutuel en vue dune rotation autour d'axes respectifs, et qui entraîne soit l'outil soit la lentille. L'un des deux éléments constitués par l'outil 3 et la lentille 1 est animé d'un mouvement de balancement dans un plan alors que l'axe de l'autre de ces éléments est maintenu incliné et formant un angle aigu avec le plan. L'appareil n'a pas besoin d'un ajustage de la longueur de la trajectoire le long de laquelle le mouvement de balancement s'effectue ou de l'inclinaison d'un axe par rapport au plan dans lequel l'autre axe se déplace. Application au doucissage et au polissage de surfaces partielles sphériques de lentilles pourvues de surfaces différemment incurvées.
