Abstract

The conveyor has suspension rials supported laterally from a beam. Trolleys are mounted on the rails by means of rollers which engage with the upper and lower surfaces of the rail. The trolleys are displaced by pushers fitted to chains and which engage in slots in the trolley frames. The chains are driven by sprockets mounted on a shaft driven by an electric motor. Conveyor sections and trolley drive mechanisms are provided as independent modules which can be connected to adjacent modules of the same straight section or with horizontal or vertical bends to build up a desired circuit.
