Abstract

Vehicles are joined flexibly to the looped conveyor system. The vehicles (2) can be hins which move around a circuit (3) made of rails carried on supports fixed to the ground. The vehicles move at different speeds over the transport (7) and shunting (8) parts. The propulation force can be applied over the full circuit (3) or at certain parts only. It can be by electric motors on the vehicles or of external pneumatic type. Spacing between vehicles can be varied and the electric motors can be of linear type. Each vehicle has two pulleys engaging with a cable to the vehicles on either side of it.
