Abstract

Ce moteur à combustion interne à deux temps et à carter pompe est du type comportant une ou plusieurs paires de cylindres 3 et 4 couplés par une chambre de combustion commune 21 et dans lequel les vilebrequins 7 et 8 sont accouplés par une transmission 9. Dans ce moteur, les carters pompes 11 et 14 communiquent avec les chambres correspondantes par des conduits de transfert séparés et ils sont de préférence alimentés avec des mélanges de richesse différente; par exemple l'un avec un mélange riche et l'autre un air non carburé. Ceci favorise la stratification de la charge dans la chambre de combustion et la réduction des émissions polluantes.
