Abstract
A circuit combines the output of a number of IMPATT(RTM) or similar diodes to provide a pulsed high power high frequency oscillator source. The operating frequency is determined by a continuously running crystal oscillator controlled injection technique. The number of diodes used may be double that normally found in such circuits, and are biased during the pulse period such that their operating frequency is not caused to vary their junction temperature. The circuit works within a cylindrical resonant cavity operating in the MONO mode and includes an independently variable length sensor and correction loop.
