Abstract
Procédé et appareil d'analyse photométrique de bioxyde de chlore liquide et gazeux. La densité du bioxyde de chlore gazeux dans une atmosphère acide humide peut être contrôlée de manière continue avec un photomètre excité par une source lumineuse incandescente à tension constante éclairant un courant continu d'échantillon de 1,27 cm d'épaisseur entre des fenêtres en verre de quartz. La lumière émergente est filtrée de manière qu'une lumière d'environ 4 400 Angströms de longueur d'onde passe à une cellule photo-électrique au sélénium. Un moyen de mesure du courant de sortie de la cellule photo-électrique est étalonné de manière à correspondre à la densité du bioxyde de chlore gazeux. La concentration d'une solution aqueuse de bioxyde de chlore est contrôlée de manière continue avec un photomètre similaire ayant un espace à échantillon de 0,32 cm d'épaisseur entre les fenêtres et un filtre à 4 600 Angsröms pour la lumière émergente. Application à l'industrie chimique.
