Abstract

Par culture en conditions aérobies submergées de Streptomyces hygroscopicus NRL 11108 ou de ses mutants dans un milieu nutritif aqueux, on obtient l'antibiotique BL580 ZETA caractérisé par ses propriétés physico-chimiques et en particulier son spectre d'absorption infrarouge sous forme de l'acide libre. Le nouvel antibiotique de l'invention est utile notamment pour le traitement et la prévention de la coccidiose des volailles.
