Abstract

The amphibious boat has driven wheels(4, 5) for ground use. These can be folded in and out. The front and rear wheel drives are synchronised, with independent mechanisms on either side. The folding gear consists of arms(10, 11) each carrying a wheel. The arms and wheels fold into recesses in the boat body. Synchronism of wheels is provided by shafts driving those on one side simultaneously, and chain drive to each wheel. Braking is obtained due to the high transmission gear ratio engine to wheels.
