Abstract

Film cutting tool comprises a combination of a hot annular cutter and a pneumatic, electric or magnetically driven ram, which can draw and hold the film surface against the punch head during cutting and subsequently eject the offcuts from the tool head. Used esp. for cutting openings in film already wrapped around a package which is susceptible to heat.
