Abstract
The spectroscope has an input aperture for the luminous flux from the source being analysed providing a fixed incidence angle for the holographic network of between 80 deg. and 90 deg. Pref. the angle of diffraction for the mean wavelength of the light is of the order of 1. The holographic network may have a grid spacing of about 0.55 micrometres, with the edges inclined at 42 deg. The optical system may also include a reflector for receiving the light from the input aperture and a plano-convex convergent objective.
