Abstract

The swinging door for a large dog is designed so that it does not allow an intruder to break into the house. It has a frame made of moulded plastics U section members, with one flange turned up forming a stop surface. This surface is engaged by an inner frame also made of moulded plastics members. This is also of U section, and is reinforced by U section inner members. The top members have openings into which are fitted the hinge fittings so that the door can swing to and fro. The door itself which incorporates hollow strengthening ribs, is fitted with a magnetic catch, and can be locked by sliding rods. The hinges are protected from the weather.
