Abstract

L'appareil de cerclage 10 selon l'invention comprend notamment un cercle 18 entourant le poste de cerclage SA et un chariot 16 monté sur ce cercle et tournant autour du paquet afin de l'entourer d'un ruban S. Ce dernier venant de la bobine 14 passe dans un mécanisme de tension et de stockage DS et il est amené dans la zone de cerclage SA où il est soumis à l'action du chariot. Le ruban forme une boucle fermée présentant une légère superposition à la partie inférieure du cercle 18 au poste de scellement SS. La présente invention est notamment applicable au cerclage commercial des paquets.
