Abstract
Séparation d'un mélange finement divisé de particules insolubles dans l'eau. On broie le mélange jusqu'à ce que la fraction à séparer ait une grosseur de particules inférieure à 50 mu , on délaye ou met en suspension le produit obtenu, à une température inférieure à 100 degrés C, avec une solution aqueuse diluée d'oxychlorure de zirconium ou d'oxynitrate de zirconium contenant, relativement au poids de la fraction à séparer, 0,3 à 3 % en poids du composé de zirconium, on décante, éventuellement on répète le délayage et la décantation, éventuellement on lave et on sèche la fraction appauvrie, on précipite la suspension obtenue par décantation en ajoutant une base, en particulier l'ammoniac, on filtre, et, éventuellement, on lave et on sèche le résidu. Applicable notamment aux particules minérales dont la fraction à séparer présente une surface chimiquement plus réactive que la fraction restante.
