Abstract
In industrial plants using processes involving electrolysis it is necessary to place charges accurately in the baths containing the electrolyte. In order to protect the crane driver from the noxious fumes he is so placed that he is unable to see the charge as it is placed in the bath. The invention proposes to equip the carriage of the crane with a guiding frame with vertical rods. The charge is placed in a cage inside this guiding frame. When the frame reaches the correct position over the bath the vertical rods are pushed downwards by springs. The rods actuate a switch which operates the crane motor which then lowers the charge into the bath in its correct position.
