Abstract

The dc/dc converter has a chopper, a rectifier and a filter. A first comparator compares a reference potential with the converter's output to produce an error signal. The output filter consists of an inductor with a gap and a capacitor. A thin Hall-effect detector is located in the inductor's gap. This is connected via an interface circuit(a differential amplifier) to a second comparator where its output is compared with a reference.
