Abstract

Lumps of dough are kneaded into balls by being brought into contact with two surfaces at an angle to each other; the kneading action resulting from the relative motion of the two surfaces. The lump of dough is deposited on a reciprocating surface and is brought into contact in turn with two surfaces above the path it follows, which they enclose. Handles rounded lumps of dough of any size. The action does not depend upon the speed of the belt. Treatment time can be varied without altering the kneading action. No adjustment of the details is necessary to unload.
