Abstract

A plough beam (1) is pivoted to the frame (3) and carries a post (4) on which the mouldboard assembly (5) is mounted. A stop (B) limits penetration of the plough. A telescopic link is pivoted to the frame and to a link (10). A spring (6) acts between the ends of the telescopic link, link (10) being also pivoted to beam (1). A further link is pivotally connected between the frame and link (10). With the plough in the working position, the line of action of spring (6) passes below pivot (13) to hold the beam (1) down. Lifting of the plough blade causes the line of action of the srping to pass above pivot (13), over the dead centre position.
