Abstract

Solar energy collector for flat roofs of buildings includes a sheet metal tray containing the heat insulation layer which extends with its sides into a gap between the angle strip and the channel strip which hold between them the collector plate and the cover panel. Sealing strips ensure a tight joint. Gussets in the tray corners are used to fix the tray to the rest of the assembly and to a support structure. Arrangement greatly simplifies the mounting of a solar energy collector on a flat roof and its exchange if required. The heat insulation layer is well protected against the ingress of moisture.
