Abstract

Dans ce frein à tambour, du type dans lequel les mâchoires 14 sont actionnées par une came 19 et sont articulées à l'extrémité opposée à cette came sur des axes (ou un seul axe) d'ancrage 15, les mâchoires sont montées sur les axes 15 par des encoches présentant un fond semi-cylindrique et deux bords d'entrée rectilignes. L'axe longitudinal de chaque encoche est dirigé vers l'intérieur du frein et vers le haut (vers l'axe de la roue) de sorte que la partie inférieure de chaque mâchoire forme un crochet capable de retenir la mâchoire dans le sens dans lequel elle tend à être entraîner par le mouvement du tambour.
