Abstract

Excipient à base de cellulose microcristalline pour compositions pharmaceutiques. Cet excipient est caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste en une cellulose microcristalline ayant un degré de polymérisation moyen de 60 à 375 obtenue par hydrolyse acide ou dégradation oxydante alcaline d'une substance cellulosique choisie parmi les bourres de coton, les pâtes et les fibres régénérées, ladite cellulose microcristalline etant une poudre cellulosique blanche ayant un volume spécifique apparent de 1,6 à 3,1 cm**3/g, un angle de repos de 35 à 42 degrés , un résidu de 2 à 80 % en poids sur un tamis ayant une ouverture de maille de 0,074 mm et un volume spécifique apparent au tassement d'au moins 1,4 cm**3/g. Fabrication de compositions pharmaceutiques notamment par compression directe à grande vitesse.
