Abstract

The boot-tree is inflatable and is made in two parts (1, 2). The first part (1) is on the side of the tibia and the toe of the boot and is inflated before being put into the boot. The second part (2) is inflated when it is in place to the desired pressure to fill the boot. The two parts are joined down the centre of the leg (3) and are inflated through valves (5, 5b) at the top. There are semi-rigid rods (6, 6b) inside the inflatable parts which are shaped to push the extremities into place. A supply sheath can cover the boot-tree to facilitate putting it in place.
