Abstract

Dans un détecteur de rayons X, l'élément détectant les rayons X est formé par une matière fluorescente qui, à l'égard du rayonnement de Röntgen à détecter, présente une courte durée de persistance et est très sensible à celui-ci. Comme matière fluorescente, on utilise en particulier des luminophores activés à l'aide de cérium, par exemple les composés d'yttrium, de lanthane et de lutétium. Application à l'appareillage radioscopique utilisé en médecine.
