Abstract

The tool head has a connecting body (1) which can be fastened to a coupling member. At least one indexable-insert carrier (2) is fastened to the connecting body (1) in such a way as to be fixed in terms of rotation but adjustable radially to the axis of rotation. The accurate, mutual seating between connecting body and indexable-insert carrier is ensured by mutual bearing surfaces (1d, 2a) arranged perpendicularly to the axis of rotation and by the side surfaces (1e, 2b) of a web/groove connection (S1). The side surfaces of this web/groove connection run free of undercuts in such a way that the indexable-insert carrier can be put onto the connecting body in the direction of the axis of rotation, a clamping screw being used for mutual securing. This tool head is simple to manufacture.
