Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé pour préparer un catalyseur à l'argent pour cellules électrochimiques, dans lequel de l'argent métallique est déposé par réduction d'un sel d'argent sur un gel d'hydroxyde métallique et on utilise conjointement 0,5 à 5 % en poids par rapport à l'argent, d'hydroxydes des métaux bismuth, nickel et titane, selon le brevet principal. Conformément à l'invention, dans un tel procédé, il se dépose un alliage argent-mercure par réduction simultanée du sel d'argent et d'un sel de mercure sur le gel d'hydroxyde métallique, la teneur du catalyseur en mercure s'élevant entre environ 10 et 17 % en poids, par rapport au poids total. Le procède conforme à l'invention sert en particulier pour la préparation d'un catalyseur à l'argent pour les électrodes à air des piles à combustibles.
