Abstract

A stereoscopic TV camera is able to effect measurements on holographic images. Speckle and grain effects are avoided when a TV monitor is connected to the camera. Supplementary electronic enlargement which exceeds that obtd. by an optical system can be located between camera and monitor. A stereoscopic camer (1) measures coordinates of a point (d) on an object (2), via two channels (A, B) symmetrical wrt a central axis (C). A detector (3) comprising a vidicon TV camera receives images of the point on the tube (14). Objective lenses (0) permit image enlargement of up to two times while electronic enlargement is provided by an electronic assembly (6) between detector and monitor (5). The camera is mounted on a platform (7) with adjustment provided by micrometer (8) screws.
