Abstract
Small elements of incremental movement in two axes of a plotting table are provided in binary form by a controller which produces pulses whose number is proportional to movement to be made. Output of a clock generator (3) is applied via a switch (10) only during displacement time. The clock signal is applied to pulse rate modifying circuit (11) which in turn drives other identical circuits (4, 5) to provide variable frequency signals (Fx, Fy) proportional to incremental movements (DELTA x, DELTA y). Clock output is divided (12) down for a counter (13) which drives a decoder (14) whose output constitutes lines (15) of a programming matrix (16). The columns (17) are connected via gates (18) to binary inputs on the pulse rate modifying circuit (11). This provides movement speed information.
